Many people who build a website don’t know how to get traffic to it, they build the website and expect people to magical find there website. The truth is, it’s not that easy, you have to get people to your website, there not just going to appear. Once you know you have to work for the traffic, you have to learn what effort to put in, to get that traffic. The best kind of traffic there is, is search engine traffic, this form of traffic is the best because once the search engine likes your website it distributes it for you, which means free traffic. There are many ways to get your website seen and index into the online search engines, but among all them different ways they all have one thing in common, a link, links from one page to your website is the difference between a good and a bad website, the more links you have pointing to your website, the better.

I highly recommend writing articles and submitted them to as many article directories as possible, this is a very good way to advertise your website because, you can write about whatever you want, which means you can target ting your audience is totally up to you. By written articles, it shows your potential visitors that you know what you’re doing, and you become a professional in your field. Writing 2-4 articles per week and submitted them, with a link to your website, can in time drastically help both your traffic source, and your link popularity.

The last way I’m going to discus, on how to get Google to recognize your website is, posting on other high page rank website. There are hundreds of good websites out there that allow you to post a links that will appear on there front page, either when it’s first posted or if it gets enough votes. Digg.com is an example of a website where your link needs a certain amount of votes or (digs) to get to the front page, get to the front page on dig and expect 40,000 + visitors that first day! Scuttle.com is an example of a website where your post automatically hits front page when it’s first posted, but as others post your post will slowly get knocked off the front page. Websites like this are constantly crawled by Google so post a link, and so will your website

In conclusion there are many ways you can promote your website, and in time get indexed into the search engines. The more effort you put into your promotion the more results will come from your work.
